Now and then, I venture forth on a Self Photo Assignment. I assign myself tasks and challenges to create, what I hope, excellent photos. This past Sunday, a few photographers joined me during my photo assignment/adventure to Bok Tower Gardens. The weather was even helpful!
A self-photo assignment is where you task yourself to go out and capture images. Self-photo tasks are, for me, a way to challenge my photo craft. I've been to Bok Tower Gardens many times. It's a great place to walk around enjoy the gardens and the central Florida landscape. It's one of the very few places where you can find a hill in central Florida. Since I've been there so many times, you might think I'd not have too many challenges left there.
Assignment - The Tower in the Reflection Pond
Even if I have photographed Bok Tower repeatedly, there is always some new aspect I've to photograph in the gardens and the Tower. Sometimes I go myself and other times it with family and friends. Intrepid photographers I met online joined me this time. So, I've met before, and some I met minutes before I started. The photographers who joined had never been to Bok Tower before, so I became a de facto tour guide. My knowledge of the history of Gardens is rudimentary, but they seemed to enjoy it. I took them to my favorite places to photograph in the Gardens, and I had excellent companionship for the day.
I had a list of ideas I wanted to snag while I was out there.

I completed most of my assignments, and I created a few others.

I was not able to complete the Timed Exposure or the Photo Walk. Ah, well, there is always next time.
